Worked for 7 weeks as intern in a project trying to appy SWITCH, a electrical-grid modelling program with a focus on developing investment strategies focused on renewable energies. The lab has headed by Daniel Kammen and I was under supervision of Sergio Castellanos.
My work in the project consisted in the data sanitization for all the data inputs that the model need to run, and also by making a coarse estimation of the Mexican electrical distribution grid. You can check the publication that arised from this work here esta pagina.
